Gino’s Creative Life
We come to appreciate and understand different things in different ways. Sometimes while watching something fun we suddenly find ourselves learning a new thing. And other times it takes longer – perhaps while reading or writing – to straighten out our perspective.
Gino's Creative Life
We come to appreciate and understand different things in different ways. Sometimes while watching something fun we suddenly find ourselves learning a new thing. And other times it takes longer – perhaps while reading or writing – to straighten out our perspective.
At least, that’s how it works with me. Creativity is finding myself by any means necessary.
Television: Personal Injury Court
There’s drama, and then there’s courtroom drama. I play the part of Judge Gino in the television program Personal Injury Court, a show that illustrates real aspects of personal injury law via fictionalized dramatizations of actual cases and proceedings.
What does that make my show? First and foremost, it’s entertainment. And that’s great; but I also make the effort to focus on and explain the law. That’s what makes my show different: I’m not the star – the law is.

Novel: Demons in the Crawlspace
One of Mark Twain’s characters commented that truth is stranger than fiction, because we expect fiction to make sense while truth often doesn’t.
I get that; in fact, to take it a step further, I actually turned to fiction to try to make sense of some bizarre phenomena I encountered during my legal career. That’s what led to my first novel, Demons in the Crawlspace.
Publisher’s Description

His emotional torment intensifies when he begins to investigate the disappearance of two little girls a case that may involve satanic ritual abuse. The abduction leads Frank on a chilling journey through the under belly of Walker City, where he encounters not only middle class parents with something to hide, but a broad swath of society’s wounded. Salvato sifts through colorful witnesses and hurdles evidentiary and legal barriers to discover the likely culprits. Demons is a riveting thriller that also shines a light on the national problems of child molestation and family violence.
